What is the sweet 3 race series?
The Smart Cookie 5K has partnered with the Kilwins Ice Cream Run and the Cupcake Run in a 3-race series where over $2000 in cash and prizes will be awarded. To participate in the series, be sure to select the series option during registration for our 5K. You'll also have to select this option during online registration for the Ice Cream and Cupcake Runs. All three races benefit deserving charities right here in Northeast Florida: Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech, and Girls on the Run.
What happens if bad weather is forecast for race day?
We are hoping for crisp, beautiful February weather. However, in the event that rain is forecast and provided that staying on schedule is safe, this is a rain or shine event. Please dress appropriately.
What if I can't make it to the race?
Sorry, but no refunds. Registrations are non-transferable.
where should I park?
Jacksonville University will have ample free parking on event day, but we encourage you to carpool. A map designating the appropriate parking areas is posted under EVENT DETAILS > NEED TO KNOW.
May I bring my dog?
Only service animals are allowed at our event. For the safety of those on our course and for all of our pets, please leave animals at home.
May I Wear a Costume?
Sure! We want you to have fun on race day. Though certainly not required, costumes are welcome. Dress up as your favorite cookie, or pull out that old cap and gown for one more go! Volunteers clad in official Girl Scout cookie costumes will be roving the finish line celebration zone; be sure to snap some pictures with them!
